- Sowing Indoors: Sow seeds indoors 6 weeks before the expected last frost, 3 mm deep, using a soil-less mix in separate peat pots. Seeds will germinate in 10-14 days at a temperature of 21C. Keep the growing medium moist during the germination period. Grow on under lights at a cooler temperature of 16C, then harden off and transplant outside to the garden or containers after the danger of frost has passed.
- Upkeep:Eucalyptus can be brought indoors in early fall and grown on as a houseplant through the winter, then put back outside the following year with the return of warm weather.
